Welcome to Newcastle U3A

Learning opportunities for seniors

Are you retired or semi-retired?   Let yourself grow through U3A

The University of the Third Age (U3A) is a self-help international organisation, where retired and semi-retired people over the age of 50 provide courses for each other.  At Newcastle U3A (NU3A) our courses range from academic, skill and special interest  classes to relaxed social get-togethers. Browse our Frequently Asked Questions page to find out more about how we operate.

From 16 March 2020, NU3A responded to the COVID-19 crisis by closing all face-to face classes. Some classes continued on Zoom or other online format for the remainder of Term 2.  We had hoped to recommence face to face classes under our COVID Safety Plan  in Term 3.

Unfortunately all face to face courses in Term 3 have now been cancelled. However some classes will continue on Zoom and others may be added during the Term. Members can also have free access to some self-directed courses through U3A Online. Please take a look at our Zoom/online program, and email the Enrolments Officer if you wish to join in the fun. If you need assistance to setup on Zoom or online, please let us know. Contact Us  and we will do our best to help.

Membership is only $60 a year and this entitles you to attend as many classes in 2020 as you choose. If you are joining midyear, membership is $40.
