Welcome to Newcastle U3A
Learning opportunities for seniors

Are you retired or semi-retired?
Let yourself grow through U3A

The University of the Third Age (U3A) is a self-help international organisation, where retired and semi-retired people over the age of 50 provide courses for each other. Our courses range from academic classes to a relaxed social get-together. Browse our Frequently Asked Questions page to find out more about how we operate.

September 2016 General Meeting

U3A_Singing Group

Newcastle U3A has only two ‘formal’ meetings a year. We like to keep our emphasis on our courses and social activities. Our recent General Meeting, at Wesley Fellowship House in Hamilton, had a feature by our Singing Group. The bracket of songs was a delightful lead-in to our meeting with an enthusiastic choral group that is so ably led by Greg Dickinson. Photo by Phil Warren

The meeting gave members an opportunity to meet and greet, to get updates on our 2016 program and our planning actions for our 2017 course program. After the meeting many adjourned to the nearby Exchange Hotel for lunch.

Membership is only $50 a year ($30 for Semester 2 only) and this entitles you to attend as many classes as you choose.
